Feelin' the Love.

It's Valentine's Day today, so obviously everyone is focused on love!  One of the best parts of my job as a family photographer is that I get to be a fly on the wall (albeit an enormous fly with an obvious camera) observing family dynamics, interactions, and above all...love.

As I was thinking about who to feature in my Valentine's Day love blog, I immediately thought of Jamie and Tom who are some of my closest friends.  They exude love.  This was such a fun photo shoot with their daughter Taylor as they were getting ready to welcome their newest family member to pour their love on, Jake.

While I absolutely love setting up unique shots for family photos, my favorite moments happen in between. 

Sarah lovingly straightening her daughter's headband in between photos.  Such a sweet moment.

As a parent, you are always checking your kids' noses for boogers and wiping applesauce off their mouths and licking our hand to wet their hair to try and tame that bed-head.  Am I right!?  Sometimes I feel like a monkey mom picking bugs off my baby monkeys (well except for the eating-the-bugs-out-of-their-hair part.)

A recurring moment I love capturing in my photo shoots is when a mom lovingly fixes her daughter's hair.  These tender and loving times end up being some of my favorites because they, quite literally, hold up a lens to real life.

It's just the beginning...

Hello world!!  I'm beyond excited to share my website with you!  This has been in the works for a while now and it's awesome to see it come to fruition.  I wish I had a red ribbon to cut or something, but let me be the first to say....drum roll please....welcome to Aseedstudios.com!!!  I'll end with a recent photo from a wedding I shot this November for the fabulous Leigh and Ray.  More photos coming soon!
